ABOUT HEALING TOUCH
What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is a relaxing, nurturing energy therapy that uses gentle touch to clear and
support the human energy system to enhance physical, emotional, mental and spiritual
well being. This energy-based modality restores balance and harmony in the energy
system, and encourages the natural ability to self-heal. It is safe for all ages, complements
s conventional medical care, and can be used alone or in collaboration with other
approaches to health and healing. Healing Touch was founded in 1989 by Janet Mentgen,
RN, and today it is taught and used across the globe.

What to Expect in a Healing Touch Session Healing Touch sessions are usually about an hour long. During the treatment, the client is fully clothed (usually reclining on a massage table) while the practitioner assesses his/her energy field, then uses gentle touch on the body or in the energy field a few inches above the body to promote healing. Clients often feel a warm vibration and sometimes drift into sleep. After a session, clients often report a sense of calm and well being, increased clarity and vitality, and relief from pain. There is a cumulative effect of using Healing Touch over time, and regular sessions are recommended.
